Intensive Camp Philosophy

Our philosophy focuses on total player development. Not only will you work on your technique, you will also train like many professionals do during their off-season. Our dynamic, comprehensive and progressive training system is used throughout the duration of the 21 or 10-days. You will be provided with a high quality, exceptionally challenging training experience with emphasis on changing your performance level and reaching your goals.

Our staff made up of professionals and collegiate players will not only instruct and push you, but also will be training right with you.     

 

Intensive

Intensive Training provides a rigorous pace and high level of execution with emphasis on maximizing performance and expanding your mental capacity. You will learn how to perform at an elevated level, so when the game is on the line and you need to win, you will be equipped with the skills to get you there.

Skills Development

You will be instructed through dynamic, innovative drills at full speed to assist in developing your strength, endurance, agility and quickness.  Special emphasis will be put on speed training, small area games, puck control, passing and receiving, shot placement and angling.

Mental Discipline

The game is 4 parts mental, to 1 part physical. Mental discipline is a key component to your success that is frequently overlooked.  You will learn the importance of mental discipline through concentration, relaxation and visualization sessions.

Classroom Instruction

You will be taught the importance of being students of the game through classroom instruction and video presentation along with special guest speakers.  In addition, you receive off-ice training in game strategy, with interactive discussion on fore-checking, back checking, breakouts, power plays, penalty kill and team-based strategies.   

Off-Ice Training

Under the guidance a hockey specific strength and conditioning coach, you will train in the areas of: flexibility and movement skills, speed, agility and quickness for improving reaction time, strength and power development, nutritional and active rest strategies for enhancing recovery, injury prevention, muscle balance training and visual agility training.
